Just a few weeks left to register for the 2026 Obesity & Weight Management Alliance UK & Ireland conference series

We have received funding by means of sponsorship, including from pharmaceutical companies, to support the delivery of our conference. The sponsoring companies are Zentiva Pharma UK and Leicester Diabetes Centre. Our sponsors have had no editorial input or control over the agenda, content development or choice of speakers, nor opportunity to influence except for the sponsored symposia presentations.

With just four weeks to go until the first event in the 2026 Obesity & Weight Management Alliance UK and Ireland conference series, healthcare professionals are encouraged to secure their place at these free, CPD-accredited events.

Chaired by Professor Melanie Davies CBE, an internationally recognised leader in diabetes and weight management, the series will bring together the latest evidence, practical learning and real-world approaches to improving obesity care in clinical practice.

Delegates will hear from a leading faculty of experts in obesity and metabolic health, including Dr Michael Crotty, Professor Carel le Roux, Professor Alex Miras, Dr Dimitris Papamargaritis, Professor Wasim Hanif and Dr Louisa Herring. The programme is designed to provide actionable insights that clinicians can take straight back into practice.

Created to support healthcare professionals in expanding their knowledge, staying up to date with the latest developments and enhancing the care they provide to people living with obesity, the conferences will explore a range of topics. These include remission in type 2 diabetes, obesity services in primary care, recent evidence and trial highlights, obesity care in ethnic communities and effective lifestyle interventions.
